Directory Submission Gets You Tons Of Quality - 1 Way Links

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

As the search engines are evolving each and every day, it’s getting harder and harder to get top search engine rankings.

The search engines now, highly favor, websites that have a large number of quality, one way links pointing to them. Because of this, it’s absolutely critical that we consistently try to get other websites to link to us, WITHOUT us linking back to them.

Yes, reciprocal linking is becoming less and less valuable. Submitting your website to website directories is an excellent way to get, quality, 1 way links pointing to your websites. You see, many of the website directories online have a high amount of page rank and have been online for several years.

These are 2 of the most important criteria for determining what a good link is, vs what a bad link is. These two criteria are:

The age of the website linking to you

The Page Rank of the website linking to you

With that said, many of these directories have both a high Page Rank AND are old websites, giving them more authority and power in the search engines.

Not only that, but there are literally thousands of website directories on the internet that are absolutely free for you to submit your website to! While it does take time to find these directories and then manually fill out all of the required criteria to submit your website, it is an excellent way to help increase your search engine rankings.

There are some good website directory submission software products on the market. The best of which is a product called Directory Submitter created by Brad Callen. Esentially you simply enter your website details into the software program 1 time, and then click on any of the 1600+ website directories in the software and it wil automatically fill in all of the submission criteria for you. Click the submit button and then your site has been instantly added to the website directory.

So, not only does it save you time in finding all of these directories, BUT it saves you an incredible amount of time filling out each and every website’s submission criteria. To learn more about Directory Submitter, visit the link below:

5 Simple Ways to Get Instant Backlinks

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

Backlinks, or incoming links, are a lucrative way for your website to generate additional traffic through companion websites of similar or complimentary products.  By use of a backlink, another website will direct its visitors to yours to view your products in conjunction with theirs, and the reverse as this type of marketing is typically based on a reciprocal relationship with another company.

There are some relatively easy ways to increase your site backlinks instantly:

Forums

Using forums to create backlinks is a great way to generate one way site traffic, that is, prompting visitors to link to your site without your having to reciprocate to another.  This method not only generates additional site traffic directly from the forum, but also increases your listing with the search engines with every link, thereby compounding your traffic by bringing your site closer to the top of a general search result.  The forum method of creating backlinks is most profitable when accompanied by related articles outlining the benefits of the backlinked site.

Blogs

By posting blogs on a message board related to your product, you have the opportunity to promote yourself and provide a link back to your own site.  Be sure the blog site is of the same nature as your website, so you are attracting those that are already interested in your marketed item.  The most successful blogs appear to be concerned with resolving a common issue on the blog site, rather than shamlessly plugging their own product or service.

Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking sites categorize web user posts for easy access by other visitors.  By posting your website on a social bookmarking site, you are precategorizing your visitor base to those who are already interested in what you are trying to promote.  Most social bookmarking sites also contain user blogs which will help to advance the site traffic of the most popular links.  Posting your own blogs to these sites will increase the ranking of your backlink and help to increase site traffic.

Article Directories

By writing and posting useful articles related to your business on an article directory site, you gain the advantage of additional market exposure and becoming known as an expert in your field, and have the opportunity to direct readers from the article directory site to your own site for further details of your product.  Again, this is not the forum for shameless plugging of your product.  A more reliable method is to post several articles relaying your knowledge of the topic and including a link to your site at the end of the article for additional information.

Regular Link Directories

Website owners who submit their links to regular link directories typically pay a fee to use the site if the link is not reciprocal.  As increasing numbers of spam generating sites are forcing the regular link directories to enact certain restrictions for use in the marketplace, when posting a non reciprocal link most regular link directories are requiring submission of website links for approval prior to posting.
